Is DuPont™ RelyOn™ Multi-Purpose Disinfectant Cleaner corrosive?
The in-use solution is generally not corrosive. However, special care should be taken when using on soft metals like copper, brass, and carbon steel as some corrosion may occur. Also, use caution where two different metals are in contact with each other as this can result in some galvanic corrosion. If any doubt exists, always test on material before broadly applying. The powder is corrosive and contact with metals or skin should be avoided.

What are the active ingredients in DuPont™ RelyOn™ Multi-Purpose Disinfectant Cleaner?
The active ingredients are Potassium Monopersulfate (Oxone®) and Sodium Chloride (NaCl)

Does DuPont™ RelyOn™ Multi-Purpose Disinfectant Cleaner have any odor?
Yes, the in-use solution has a light citrus scent.

Can we sell DuPont™ RelyOn™ Multi-Purpose Disinfectant Cleaner into Canada? Mexico? ROTW?
No, currently the product is targeted solely at the US Market. There are plans to introduce the entire RelyOn™ line to other regions of the world, but they are currently not available.

Is DuPont™ RelyOn™ Multi-Purpose Disinfectant Cleaner classified as non-hazardous by the DOT?
DuPont™ RelyOn™ Multi-Purpose Disinfectant Cleaner is not regulated in transportation by DOT/IMO/IATA.

What quality of water should MDC solution be made with?
Tap water is normally sufficient for dilution of the MDC powder or tablets. Use of extremely contaminated water should be avoided.

Should the contents in contaminated facilities, such as carpeting, drywall etc. be disinfected before they are removed for disposal?
No, it is difficult to assure a good disinfection process on highly soiled items and porous items like carpet or drywall. It is recommended the areas be cleared of debris and damaged goods by trained individuals wearing proper personal protective equipment. Once the area is clear and free of debris and gross contamination, the reaming hard non-porous surfaces can be cleaned and disinfected with RelyOn™ MDC solution.

Why is MDC better than bleach?
DuPont™ RelyOn™ Multi-Purpose Disinfectant Cleaner is more efficacious than bleach.

DuPont™ RelyOn™ Multi-Purpose Disinfectant Cleaner is a one step process, it cleans and disinfects. When disinfecting with bleach, surfaces must be cleaned first to ensure efficacy.
